Meet
the Owner: Fitness has been my life since
high school. From an All-star track runner to qualifying in the
U.S. Open for bodybuilding in Lackland, Texas in 1998 at age 40.
But life hasn't been that simple.... I spent twelve years of my
life with a chronic illness (Interstitial Cystitis) complicated
with Mast Cell Syndrome, and no hope given to me by any physician.
You might say that I "had" to learn proper nutrition and fitness
or I wouldn't be here today. I was spending $400 dollars a week
on medications and "in and out" of the doctors office two and three
times a week. I'm living testimony that it works. One day I threw
away the medications and starting reading every health magazine
I could find, and learning how to read product labels, exercising
daily. Today it's my life.

Linda
King RMA, Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Trainer
I am married and mother of 3, but that hasn't
stopped me from the other things I love. On top of working
in the medical field for over 10 years, I push myself in the gym
and love the competition.
I hold state records in Kansas for Powerlifting in the Masters
Division - 114 lb weight class.I
also ranked 2nd in the US for overall Powerlifting in 2005 Master's
Division - 114 lb, class.
Karen and I work together well. She has trained me for two
body building and figure competitions where I placed 2nd in the
2005 KC Body Building and Figures Competition in both Masters
and Open divisions. I also placed 5th in the 2005 Gold's
Classic Body Building and Figures competition.
Quote of the month! "a certain amount of opposition
is a great help to a man; it is what he wants and must have to be good
for anything. hardship and opposition are the native soil of manhood
and self-reliance. "
