Aerobic Exercise Tests

The ability to do aerobic exercise is very important for completing activities of daily living, and is commonly tested in the laboratory setting through use of graded exercise test. Maximal oxygen consumption is an important physiologic measurement, and several criteria are used to determine whether or not oxygen consumption has truly reached a physiologic maximum.

However, even though oxygen consumption may be increasing, most persons with a chronic disease or disability do not achieve a "true" VO2.

Other tests that can be done are 1) Anaerobic Tests 2) Endurance Tests, 3) Strength Tests 4) Flexibility Tests 5) Neuromuscular Tests 6) Functional Performance Tests and 7) No Exercise Test
